Polyhedral structure of the 4-node network design problem
This article studies the polyhedral structure of the 4-node network design problem (NDP). Using a theorem from the previous work of this author, the facets of the 4-node NDP can be translated into facets of larger size problems. The knowledge of complete polyhedral description of the 4-node NDP is important because it implies complete knowledge of 4-partition-based facets of larger NDPs. After ...
متن کاملThe traveling salesman problem with pickup and delivery: polyhedral results and a branch-and-cut algorithm
The Traveling Salesman Problem with Pickup and Delivery (TSPPD) is defined on a graph containing pickup and delivery vertices between which there exists a one-toone relationship. The problem consists of determining a minimum cost tour such that each pickup vertex is visited before its corresponding delivery vertex. In this paper, the TSPPD is modeled as an integer linear program and its polyhed...
متن کاملPolyhedral results for the Equitable Coloring Problem
In this work we study the polytope associated with a 0/1 integer programming formulation for the Equitable Coloring Problem. We find several families of valid inequalities and derive sufficient conditions in order to be facet-defining inequalities. We also present computational evidence of the effectiveness of including these inequalities as cuts in a Branch & Cut algorithm.
متن کاملModelling and Solving the Capacitated Location-Routing Problem with Simultaneous Pickup and Delivery Demands
In this work, the capacitated location-routing problem with simultaneous pickup and delivery (CLRP-SPD) is considered. This problem is a more realistic case of the capacitated location-routing problem (CLRP) and belongs to the reverse logistics of the supply chain. The problem has many real-life applications of which some have been addressed in the literature such as management of liquid petrol...
متن کاملNetwork Location Problem with Stochastic and Uniformly Distributed Demands
This paper investigates the network location problem for single-server facilities that are subject to congestion. In each network edge, customers are uniformly distributed along the edge and their requests for service are assumed to be generated according to a Poisson process. A number of facilities are to be selected from a number of candidate sites and a single server is located at each facil...
